The organized chaos we like to call Thanksgiving!

This year, Brent;s parents and sister and her family, came to Olathe for Thanksgiving. We all got together at his sister Christy's house for the day. Things can get kinda of crazy when there are 15 people in the house and 6 kids running around. It;s always fun to be together. We played a few games, watched some football and ate a lot of food. Brent's sister Cherie and her family stayed out at the lake house with us so we got to spend a little extra time with them which is always nice.

no shave november=no kisses till december

November at MNU means several things. Basketball games have started, the trees have mostly changed, the weather gets cooler and all the guys on campus have facial hair to keep them warm. Yet again, it is No Shave November. Campus wide, the guys participate in a contest to see who can grow the best beard. For me, I get to experience Brent's amazingly sporadic facial hair or as we affectionately call it, his BTM (bad teenage mustache.) When I bully Brent, he gets back at me by rubbing or trying to rub his whiskers on my face. Needless to say, this is not my favorite month.
At the end of November, the participants will get together for a ugly sweater/No shave November party and will win prizes in categories such as best beard, nastiest beard, best mustache and most creative. We are just finishing out week 2 and are counting down the last 2 weeks. I will continue to update as the hair grows!

Goodbye 14123 England!

The day is here. Tomorrow, the England house will belong to another family. As I sit here, I think about all the memories I have had in that house. When Amy and I were little, we used to roller skate and roller blade in the unfinished basement. We used to have a huge chalk board and desk in the basement and spent a lot of time playing school. At Christmas time, we would sleep in front of the Christmas tree that was put up in the loft. Oh the loft, where we had many sleep overs with friends. We spent many summer nights playing flashlight tag around the house with friends. When I was home from college for the summer, we spent a lot of time playing Nertz and making bracelets. Brent asked me to be his girlfriend in the basement on a Sunday afternoon and the night before our wedding, my bridesmaid's and I spent the night and got ready for the wedding in the house. I have a picture of me walking down the stairs in my dress. Then there was the fire. Who could forget about that. Needless to say, the house holds a lot of memories, laughs and love. I hope the house will bring the new family the same memories, laughs and love it brought our family. 18 years ago we were a family of 4. Now we are a family of 6 with a ton of memories together and I wouldn't change that for the world. I cant wait to see what memories we will make in the new home. I hope Scottsdale is ready for us!!!

Me taking the legs off the kitchen table. Thank you Collins family for letting me have the table. I cant wait to tell my kids that
this is the table I ate at as a kid.

Almost empty kitchen

Almost empty dining room where we had 3 last dinners!

Almost empty living room

Brent & Mom waiting to go eat. Bailey had no idea what to think with no furniture in the house.

Binks so depressed.

Empty living room. Looks so weird

Empty kitchen.

This was by bedroom for 18 years. A light switch that had my name on it hung in the wall until the last minute

So we decided that we needed some family pictures outside the house. When we first moved in, pictures were taken of my sister, my grandpa, my best friend at the time and I sitting on the moving truck eating ice cream. We needed pictures of the family and how we have grown in the last 18 years as a family.
